Seeing Barcelona from above is a unique experience. From a high spot, you can observe some of the most representative monuments in the city, such as Christopher Columbus statue, Sagrada Família, Torre Agbar, and even Camp Nou. You can see the different quarters of the city, trying to discover which of them were built first and which of them were old small towns sucked by the big metropolis. Also, you can imagine all the citizens stuck in their routine and their habits but from an apart location more quiet and more natural than the city center. So many different stories, all of them happening at the same time.
Barcelona is a big city, full of possibilities: new people to meet, new couples to fall in love, new ideas to explore, new places to discover and all kind of experiences to live. Contemplating the city from the top helps us create a sensation of belonging there, understanding where it all began and where everything is going. Appreciating the different areas that compose the urban landscape from a viewpoint, with all its similarities and differences, helps you feel how all of them are part of the same entity: Barcelona. Bunker park viewpoint
Where is it? C/ de Marià Labèrnia, s/n, 08032 Barcelona
Located in Horta neighborhood, this park has probably one of the best views in Barcelona. From the top of its hills, you can experience a 360-degree view of the whole city, from the mountain neighborhoods to the sea. In addition to the spectacular views, you can experience history and feel as a Barcelona citizen in the 1930`s. Why? Because the park contains an impressive bunker from the Spanish Civil War. Our recommendation for you is to go there in the morning or at the end of the afternoon, so you can watch the sunrise or the sunset and avoid crowds. An eye-catching natural spectacle that will create a special memory that’ll last forever. Moreover, you can take panoramic stunning pictures of the city.
Sarrià viewpoint
Where is it? Carretera de Sarrià a Vallvidrera, 115, 08017 Barcelona, España
This beautiful viewpoint is located near the Collserola park entrance and allows you to enjoy a gorgeous view. Sarriá is one of the highest parts of Barcelona and this viewpoint, created in 1992, allows you to see the West parts of Barcelona. Our recommendation is to plan a little hiking, in the morning or the afternoon, and maybe bring some food and beverages to have a picnic in Collserola after taking the most beautiful picture for your Instagram. Or just go by car so that you will not get tired.
Tibidabo viewpoint
Where is it? Plaça Tibidabo, 3-4, 08035 Barcelona
Tibidabo is the highest peak in the town of Barcelona. Its size of 512 meters over the sea makes it one of the best viewpoints, one where you can enjoy the whole city, from the mountain to the sea. In addition to that, there is also a vintage amusement park with more than a hundred years history and a beautiful church. The fun part of getting to this viewpoint is the way. You can get there by car, bus or just by walk (but we don’t really recommend that). Take a full dull day to enjoy everything Tibidabo has to offer.
